We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Optician to join our team in Hinsdale, IL. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will play a key role in delivering a personalized, high-quality eyewear experience for every patient. You will assist clients in selecting eyewear that suits their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style preferences, ensuring a personalized experience. Responsibilities include measuring clients for proper fit, interpreting and verifying prescriptions, making accurate adjustments to frames, and educating customers about lens and frame options. Additionally, you will manage orders, process insurance claims, and assist in maintaining inventory while delivering superior customer service.
Qualifications
Experience in eyewear fitting, frame adjustments, and interpreting optical prescriptions
Knowledge of eyewear trends, styles, and lens options
Customer service skills, including the ability to assist individuals in selecting eyewear and resolving inquiries
Proficiency in processing insurance claims and managing point-of-sale systems
Strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to work on-site in Hinsdale, IL, with a customer-oriented mindset
Previous experience in the optical or retail industry is required
Relevant certifications, such as ABO certification, are a plus
