The Opportunity:

We’re seeking a highly experienced optician with refined style and deep optical knowledge to join our team at the Mill Valley store. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building long-term customer relationships, has an impeccable eye for design, and works well within a small, collaborative team.

What You’ll Do:

Provide full-scope optical service: frame styling, fittings, lens education, adjustments, and repairs
Offer thoughtful, personalized guidance to clients — from eyewear newcomers to longtime collectors
Work with our curated luxury frame lines, including bespoke and independent designers
Maintain a polished, inspiring retail environment alongside your teammates
Contribute positively to the store atmosphere through consistency, collaboration, and professionalism
Stay current on the latest lens technologies and unique material offerings

You Bring:

5+ years of experience in optical (boutique or high-end setting preferred)
ABO certification or equivalent professional training
Strong knowledge of lenses
Excellent styling instincts — you know how to help people feel beautiful in their glasses
Warm communication style — calm, helpful, respectful
High level of reliability — you follow through, show up prepared, and keep things running smoothly
A welcoming, style-focused vibe
Someone who works well with a team — strong communication skills
