MIAMI (April 2014) – Christian Roth and Eric Domège create some of the world’s most beautifully designed and crafted eyewear by consistently pushing the boundaries of style. 2014 marks the 30-year anniversary of the CHRISTIAN ROTH brand. The design duo continuously raises the bar with their use of bright, bold colors, luxurious materials and innovative design. “If eyes are the window to our soul, then surely eyewear hide the truth that lies behind them,” says Roth.
The CHRISTIAN ROTH brand is a favorite among visionaries including the likes of Rihanna, Sharon Stone, Mary J. Blige, Diana Ross, Lenny Kravitz, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Andy Warhol.
What began as an idea in the mid-80s is now an authority in the eyewear market. With the help of their mentor, VOGUE’s Candy Pratts Price, CHRISTIAN ROTH was the first label to be inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) legitimizing eyewear as a desirable fashion accessory. Roth and Domège have created a visionary brand that is timeless and defines trends that set fashion standards.
CHRISTIAN ROTH designs are a unique fusion of fashion, innovation, sexy silhouettes and modern design. Together, Roth and Domège single handedly introduced an accessory that reinvented a whole industry by incorporating eyewear into the fast track of fashion. Domège says, “We create a language through our designs that stand the test of time”. Countless designers continuously reference the brand as a source of inspiration.
Over the years, Roth and Domège collaborated with designers including Helmut Lang, Isaac Mizrahi and Marc Jacobs creating exclusive designs for the runway. Later the duo created the DNA for the eyewear collections of Michael Kors and Karl Lagerfeld. Be it for other designers or their own creations, CHRISTIAN ROTH eyewear consistently graces the pages of top international fashion publications.
In celebration of its 30-year anniversary, CHRISTIAN ROTH has released 2 new designs including Power Plug and Rock Study to complement its Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Featuring new design techniques for a seamless look and feel, the 2 frames (available in high gloss black, sky white, or classic tortoiseshell) are accented by gold titanium temples along with a jewel like enamel placement on the temple tips in various shades of bright orange.
Korean artist, JunChang Park, designed a whimsical geometric pattern featured on the enamel placement as an ode to the CHRISTIAN ROTH brand. Power Plug and Rock Study are cool, sexy and debut in the US market May 2014.
